Guttering

 Roofers & Roof Labourers Wanted

NR Local Trades is a licensed, insured Northern Rivers business built on 30+ years of combined trade and local experience, and we're hiring experienced roofers and roof labourers for a busy team. The work's steady and varied: tile-to-tin conversions, new tin roofs, tin-to-tin re-roofs, and full guttering installs and repairs across Lismore, Ballina, Byron Bay and the wider Northern Rivers region.

Dekton isn't your average benchtop material. It's created through an advanced sintering process that fuses a blend of glass, porcelain and quartz materials under extreme heat and pressure — essentially replicating, and speeding up, the natural process that forms stone. The result is an ultra-compact surface with near-zero porosity, giving you a benchtop that's exceptionally tough and easy to live with.

If you've got a busy kitchen, a young family, or you're simply after something that'll still look brand new in ten years' time, Dekton ticks the boxes. It stands up to scratches, stains and everyday knocks far better than many traditional surfaces, and its heat resistance means you don't need to reach for a trivet every time something comes off the stove.

We're proud of the reputation we've built across Lismore and the wider Northern Rivers, and it shows in what our clients tell us. Time and again, the same themes come up in our reviews: we turn up when we say we will, we explain things clearly before any work starts, and we keep people updated at every stage of the job. Clients regularly mention our roofing and guttering work specifically, from full Colourbond roof replacements to gutter and downpipe upgrades, praising the professionalism, speed and tidiness of our crews.

Several reviews highlight our detailed, obligation-free quotes and the fact that we follow through on them without price surprises. Strata managers, homeowners and even people who are yet to book a job all comment on how approachable and low-pressure our team is. It's this consistency, being reliable, communicative and genuinely helpful, that keeps Northern Rivers locals recommending us to friends, family and neighbours.

What You'll Do

  • Strip and replace roofing
  • Install corrugated and custom tin
  • Fit gutters and downpipes
  • Keep sites clean and safe

What We Want

Roofing experience is preferred, but we're just as keen to hear from labourers with a solid work ethic who want to learn the trade properly. Beyond that, you need to be reliable, physically fit, and happy working at heights. Own transport is an advantage.

What We Offer

Steady work with a business that's still growing, and for the right people, pay well above the norm. We're a crew that looks after its own, if we say we'll be there, we're there, for our clients and for each other, and that's exactly the standard we hire to.

Guttering

Whether you need a single repair or a fully coordinated multi-trade project, our team of around 80 locals has the licensing, experience, and local knowledge to get it done properly the first time. Here's how to get started with NR Local Trades:

  • Get in touch for a free quote on any trade service, from a single roof repair to a full granny flat build
  • Ask about combining trades on one project to save on coordination and scheduling
  • Review our completed work

Building and maintaining a property in Lismore, from the CBD out to the Wilson River floodplain suburbs, requires trades who understand local flood risk, wet season scheduling, and NSW compliance, not just the trade itself.

NR Local Trades brings roofing, guttering, solar, electrical, painting, carpentry, plumbing, excavation, tiny homes, granny flats, steel fabrication, and joinery together under one licensed, insured local team.

Why Locals Keep Choosing NR Local Trades

Handing over a roof, a granny flat or a tiny home build is a big call. You want people who know their craft, turn up when they say they will, and won't vanish halfway through the job. As your fully licensed local crew (Licence: 465043C, ABN: 27 646 493 389), here's what that looks like in practice.

01

Real Experience, Not Just a Start Date

NR Local Trades launched in 2020, but Temo and the crew bring over 30 years of combined trade and corporate experience to every roof, granny flat and tiny home we build.

02

Roofing, Granny Flats and Tiny Homes, Done Properly

We focus on three jobs and do them well: roofing, granny flats and tiny homes, all coordinated in-house from design through to handover.

03

We show up. On time. Every time.

If we say we'll be there, we're there. Simple as that.

04

Local through and through

We're Lismore based, employing 80-plus local tradies, and we back homegrown suppliers and Australian-made materials wherever we can.
